The College of Arts, Science, and Technology (CAST), Kurgwi was established on 31st October 2000 under Law No. 2 of 2000 by an Act of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
The Law empowers the College to offer courses in Basic ‘A’ level IJMBE program as well as Remedial courses of the WAEC/NECO syllabus for students to remedy their subjects in order to enhance the state enrollment profile towards meeting the requirements of students’ admission into universities across the country.
The College has remained focused on its primary responsibilities of providing training to students across the country to attain entry qualifications for university education right from inception to date.
Criteria for the Admission of Students:
A candidate must have at least five (5) credits including Mathematics and English for admission into IJMBE program, which must have a combination of 3 subjects to make up a course. ‘O’ level in Mathematics and English can be remedied. Candidates with a deficiency can be admitted for the Remedial program.
